My boyfriend specially designed a ring as a gift for me, he brought it home December 23rd, 2016. It is now March 21st, and this is he THIRD ring I've had to get sent in and replaced bc the opal or the amethyst has fallen out. First time it was no biggie, wecond time they say, "Oh, well the opal is a soft stone you know." I do know that, but ad a jewelry store that upcharges inexpensive stones, you should know how to set the stones in various rings, pendants, etc., to where they will not move. The third time, and might I add we picked the third replacement up on Friday, today is Tuesday and the stone has fallen out, when my boyfriend called their response was, "Oh well it is a cheap sterlig silver ring. Maybe if you'd bought gold or something." How unprofessional! He paid roughly $300 for the ring! I've bought myself amethyst rings from WalMart and even those stones didn't fall out! And how dare they try to upcharge him after having to drive a half an hour one way to drop off and pick up a product he paid for already and has to keep sending in? To not even be satisfied with the outcome! I will NEVER make a purchase at any Kay Jewler's location and I encourage anyone in my area to take your business elsewhere.
The staff is very helpful, And the manager, Nikki is very knowledgeable with her products in store. Which alone, should definitely get her a raise just for that, as well as her staff all raises from being polite and kind to customers, along with their product knowledge as well. A+++ rating I give this store.
I had dropped off a beautiful ring and then waited 2 weeks to get it back. When I finally was able to get it and wear it, mind you I was super excited... to my dismay there was a huge gouge in the side of it. So to whom ever is there sizing and repair shop aren't the brightest bunch. Would you not send the ring back and fix that, knowing you will just get it sent back to be fixed again. Ugh. Not happy with there repair shop at all let's hope it's fixed and looks like it did when I first got it.
