When they did work, they made a huge mess. No tarp, nothing to protect the floors from debris and dust. They used our exhaust fan to suck out all the dust from demo, thus clogging our fan up to the point where it would not work. They also put their nasty filthy shop vac in our bedroom to store it - on the white carpeting.
Find someone else to do your work!
Out of the three jobs I hired Pro remodeling for, only one was completed by them. They hired someone to do my roof and my garage roof and they hired someone else to do the gutters on my house. The only job that they did themselves was the siding. Pro remodeling is charging me over $4000 over the estimate due to “extra” work. Out of the extra work that is being charged, some of it is in the original contract; therefore they are trying to charge me double. They are also charging me for multiple parts that are not installed on the house. They are pushing for the money when the job isn’t even finished by them yet. The gutter company didn’t put the downspout tails on because pro remodeling told them that they are doing that. It’s been almost a month and they still are not on. As for the extra charges, over $2100 was for the siding due to “excessively nailed” siding, a few spots where wood had to be replaced, and removal of siding under the pre-existing vinyl siding that was only on one third of the house. they are charging over $1900 on the roofs due to replacing wood along the bottom of the house and to re-sheet the garage. I was quoted $1500 by them to re-sheet the garage and if I did that myself the extra on the house would be wiped clean. I re-sheeted over 75% of the garage and the rest was stripped ready to be sheeted. Due to time constraints with the weather and lack of help, I had them finish the job. Only one top chord on a truss need to be replaced but they decided to replace all of them that was able to with 2x6 instead of the supplied 2x4s without my consent. Out of everything that I did, pro remodeling said it was only worth $375 and charged me over $1900 for the rest of it. Of the $1900, there was work being charged double again. All of the work that was done was average and nothing was worth the extra charges and hassle of dealing with them. I recommend going with someone else that does the work themselves and is better at estimating the cost of the job.
We hired this company after Kerry, the owner came out and gave an estimate to remodel bathroom. Work started on July 5th. He told us 7-8 days to complete. It was done finally in a little over 3 weeks!! He blew us off several times telling me that he would not be sending crews until further notice because he had to finish his mother - in laws home first. His guys would work maybe 6 hours a day, taking 2 hour lunches when they would show up. One day they didn't arrive until 10:45 and left at 11:30 to go to another job!!
I wish I could give them zero stars but It won't let me. I worked for Pro Remodeling for a couple of months as an office clerk. It was a very toxic and unprofessional environment. Kerry the owner and president is a hot head and would lose his temper often. I witnessed him yelling at his wife Karen and also raised his voice at me when I asked him if he wanted to get on the phone to speak with a customer. Kerry has a bad attitude and I have noticed many times when he wouldn't want to talk to a customer to address their concerns. There was even one previous customer who I called to follow up with regarding some potential work that he wanted us to give an estimate for, well, when the customer answered the phone he proceeded to tell me that he would no longer ask ProRemodeling to do any work for him in the future because Kerry had been verbally aggressive to him the last time they spoke. When I brought this man's concerns up to Kerry he just said that he was having a rough day that day and made excuses for his actions. Not caring about this man's concerns. Karen the owners wife did not respect boundaries and would invade my personal space by touching my hair and mixing her dog food at my desk just to name a couple of issues. When I found a fulltime job and I let Karen know, is when all "hell" broke loose. I gave Karen and Kerry one weeks notice since I was only working part time I felt that was accurate notice. Well, today Karen proceeded to snap on me and tell me that I am not a "team player" because I was leaving to better my future with a full time opportunity that I was offered somewhere else. Karen proceeded to tell me that I am not a team player because I was not staying to cover their upcoming vacation. I explained to her that it is very selfish of them to expect someone to turn down a fulltime position just to be a dedicated part time employee. I told Karen how unprofessional they are by the way they would argue and yell at eachother in the office. I excused myself because I wasn't going to sit there and allow her to belittle me. As I was about to leave Karen came to my drivers side window and was BANGING on my window yelling for me to give her the office keys. I told her that if she gives me my paycheck which I was owed I'll give her the office keys. She agreed to give me my check and I followed her inside to exchange the keys for my check. As I was walking back out to leave today Karen followed me outside to my car yelling calling me an "immature spoiled brat". Even after I left Karen kept texting me only proving my point to how UNPROFESSIONAL they are. I couldn't believe how she acted! If I was looking for someone to do remodeling work on my home etc I would choose another company because ProRemodeling doesn't know how to treat their employees and if they'll treat their employees bad what makes you think they'll be good to their customers! Smh
Kerry, the owner would not give us any set working schedule. We had to call him each night to ask if his guys would be coming back, if he would answer the phone. Seriously, over 3 weeks to do a bathroom!!! And when all was said and done, I got a bill for $86 for them to install a new toilet. They had to take the old one out, not sure why putting in a new one would cost more. It still had to get re-installed? Never would I recommend these guys for anything. Very unprofessional.
Kerry the Boss came out to my magnolia property said it will take 4 weeks for the estimate ,,, never got the estimate i keep calling the secretary told me he call me back ,never did finally i called this morning ,,,he said its been 3 weeks sounded like he did not care about my job ,,even to its about 100k to 120K project said he had others he already was working with and if dont wanna wait its ok i can find some one else ,,,,very unprofessional bad businesses ethic's
