I have seen the other reviews and have to question if they had purchased the equipment from Smith's Sales and Service or bought something at a "box store". I have always had good service from them, however, I have purchased my equipment from them also. That could be the difference. They take care of their customers 100%.
Aimoline29 had it right. I think this place could use some lessons in customer service. I took a lawn mower there one time for servicing. Very first thing - "That mower was NOT well taken care of. It's not worth fixing!" I insisted that he at least try to get it going, and when I came to pick it up he had an entirely different tunr. "It runs very well."
Very helpful on repairing stuff.ask the dad to explain how he fixes your stuff..he loves to talk to customers...a real people person.
I would tell everyone to stay away from this business. Spring tune-up of my mower cost over $1100. $400 worth of labor. Ridiculous. Years past I thought it was expensive at $450 bucks for the tune up, but to get hit with an unexpected $1100 bill is just insane. Could purchase a new mower for that price. When I attempted to seek an explanation of costs, I was meant with dirty looks and snide comments. DO NOT GIVE THIS STORE YOUR BUSINESS.
over the years i have purchased 2-60" lazer z 1-52" hydro turf tracer 1-36" hydro turf tracer 2-fs 100 weed eaters. they have always caten top notch care of me. i dont have one complaint. i dont believe i will buy equipment anywhere else. i give them 2 thumbs up.
But I would not want to go back to deal with this criticism again. They may be knowledgeable, but that knowledge is helpful only when they do not drive the customers away first :(
