My husband and I were driving a leased vehicle from another dealership and were in desperate need of a second vehicle. We went to a few dealerships and couldn't find what we were looking for and weren't satisfied with our service, but then we went to JP Chevrolet and were more than happy with how friendly and helpful Chad and the rest of the sales team was during our visit. A quick heads up to those looking to purchase a vehicle in the Illinois Valley area. I highly suggest you avoid JP Chevrolet in Peru, IL. We purchased a used car from their lot and it ended up dying 3 weeks after the purchase. We took it in and they told us the alternator was shot and that it would cost $980 to repair. They then told us they would "help us out" and sell us a warranty to cover the repair that would cost $1200 plus a $100 deductible, but it would cover us for the remainder of the year. We declined and took it to the auto zone next door. We were informed that the alternator is completely fine and we simply needed a new battery. We took it to a few more mechanics to be certain, and each one said the same thing. We ended up buying a new battery and only spent about $100. I think it's safe to say we will not be a returning customer.
I was looking for a car online, found a really good deal at this dealership. After initial email conversations I was convinced enough to come out to see the car and make a deal. I was welcomed by Chad, who is a super nice guy, he took great care of me and even had very nice conversation with my son about motorcycles as he rides himself. I cannot say a single bad thing about the whole experience, from the managers to sales reps, everyone was polite, knowledgeable, and worked with me to help me get the best deal possible. I would highly recommend visiting this dealer, I came out of Chicago to buy a car from them. Go see Chad, and I bet you will not be disappointed. I would buy again from him again!
